This Low FODMAP Chips and Salsa Dish Is Seriously Addicting
Now that you’re eating low FODMAP, attending parties, lunches, and other social events can feel a bit more stressful than usual. Now that you’re watching what you eat, you want to make sure you have something with you to tie you over incase there isn’t anything truly low FODMAP at your next event. A fabulous way to deal with this is by bringing an appetizer with you that’s low FODMAP. The best part? You don’t even need to tell anyone else the dish is low FODMAP. Here’s a fun, easy Low FODMAP Chips and Salsa Recipe that is so addicting, it will have everyone coming back for more.
Here’s a yummy recipe for low FODMAP Chips and Salsa:
What You’ll Need:
Brown Rice or Corn Tortillas
I like these: Foods For Life Brown Rice Tortillas or Trader Joe’s Corn Tortillas
Garlic Infused Oil, 1 Tbsp per Tortilla
I like these: FODY Low FODMAP Garlic Infused Olive Oil
Chopped Green Onion (Freeze-Dried), 1/4 Tbsp per Tortilla
I like these: Zatarain’s Chopped Green Onions
Sea Salt to taste
Salsa
I like this brand: FODY Original Mild Salsa
What You’ll Do:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
2. Cut your brown rice tortillas into small triangles. You can use a pizza cutter to cut in the same style you would cut a pizza.
3. Use the back of a spoon to press down on your freeze-dried chopped green onion to create a powder.
4. Combine green onion powder with your garlic-infused oil and coat your tortillas.
5. Spread fully, but lightly coated tortillas on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and bake for less than 10 minutes. Check on them after the six- or seven-minute mark to see how much longer they’ll need.
6. Pour your salsa into a pretty dish and spread the addicting chips on a serving platter around the dish. Make sure to snag a few for yourself before everyone else at the party gets to it!
You can have your salsa and eat it too! Just because you’re eating low FODMAP doesn’t mean you have to eat things that are low in flavor!
